The Greater Hartford Chapter of Jack and Jill is honored to invite you to our 60th anniversary celebration as we raise money for Hands On Hartford's Backpack Nutrition Program. Please join us for High Tea and Haute Couture featuring African American designer/tailor Justin Haynes of JUS10H and our GHJJ teen models! We look forward to honoring our past and celebrating our future; while making a difference in our community!
Mr. Haynes has been a Master Tailor for the last 8 1/2 years. To date, Mr. Haynes has created 53 collections - 10 of them with American Diabetes Association and Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. In October 2016, Springfield City Mayor and Chief of Staff welcomed JUS10H to present its 9th runway production at the Springfield City Hall. This event was the talk of the city for the last year. Since that time, JUS10H fashions have been widely recognized by the city’s mayor along with other staff members.
Justin Haynes is CEO and Founder of JUS10H, which specializes in Men’s, Women’s and Children’s wear. As a pivotal career move, Justin decided to leave his position as Regional Training Manager for UK Luxury retail stores. In 2011, JUS10H was birthed where the mission has and continues to be, “Bringing fashion to your everyday life.”
At a very young age, Justin knew that he possessed a sincere love for fashion and passion for retail,
so this move, although not ideal, seemed natural. Justin collaborates with Saige's Muse and we're thrilled to have her jewelry and support at our tea. Saige's Muse is a trendsetting Online Jewelry Store, curated and owned by Ivori A. Smith, offering custom/handmade earrings.
Many kids in Hartford receive free lunch throughout the week at school, but struggle to ffind enough food to eat on the weekends. Through the Backpack Nutrition Program, backpacks containing four meals, drinks and snacks are distributed to children each Friday during the school year, plus weekly enhancements such as fresh fruit, nutrition resource information and school supplies. They currently serve over 200 children at 6 local schools in the city.
